Did you know?  On each night of Hanukkah, the menorah is lit to commemorate a miracle which occurred after the Jews proclaimed victory over the Syrian armies in 165 B.C.E. When Jews came to rededicate the Temple-which had been defiled by the Syrians-they found only one small flask of oil with which to light the menorah. This flask contained only enough oil for one day, yet the lamp burned for eight days (by which time a fresh supply of oil was obtained).

Welcome to the International Interfaith Initiative

Think about it: all religions teach us to make this world a better place. This compelling force of faith and spirituality leaves much room for embracing — even celebrating — our differences. Just as each individual possesses unique talents and abilities, so do different faith traditions offer many different powerful messages. When we combine our voices, the resulting song will certainly make the world more compassionate, loving, and peaceful. This realization led to the creation of the International Interfaith Initiative. And you can be part of it.
